Read More	Myrtle Allen Turner Bright Retired from Timken Myrtle Allen Turner Bright, 88, of 512 Ballenger Road, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Lucian W. Turner and Detroit (Tom) Bright and daughter of the late Lee Allen and Mary Jane Burgess Allen. She worked in the textile industry and retired from The Timken Company. Mrs. Bright was a lifelong member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Amazing Grace Singers and treasurer of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was an avid Gaffney Indians fan. She is survived by six daughters, Jane Brown, Vivian Turner and husband, Burl, Alice Thomas and husband, Duane, Lucy Fowler and husband, Jimmy, Sandy Grant and Becky Northey and husband, Mike, all of Gaffney; stepchildren, Lee Bright and wife, Judy, Benny Bright and wife, Teresa, and Vicki Parker and husband, Van, all of Gaffney; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a friend and sister-in-law, Lib Allen. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Owens; six brothers and four sisters. The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 26, from 1:30-3 p.m. at Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. Services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Dr. Clyde Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Bright's grandsons: Harvey Owens, Lee Parker, Billy Parker, Allen Turner, Richard Turner, David Thomas, Steve Thomas, Charlie Daggerhart, Cleveland Grant, Daniel Northey, Ian Northey and Eli Northey.
