She was the daughter of the late William (Willie) and Stella Bates Rowell of Norway. She retired from United Technologies, St. Matthews, where she was the receptionist. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Orangeburg. A treasured mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she touched life with a loving hand and had a warm, sweet smile for all. She was pre-deceased by brothers Marshall, Malcolm, Bill, and Colie; and sisters, Ola Weatherington and Leila Keitt.
