Pearson, 88, longtime Big Sandy resident, died of natural causes late Thursday night in a Great Falls hospital. Funeral services were held at the Christ Lutheran Church of Big Sandy. She was born on May 5, 1908, the daughter of Ola and Beda (Johson) Chrisofferson in Burtrum, Minn. She moved to Big Sandy with her father and three brothers when she was 4 years old. Pearson, 88, longtime Big Sandy resident, died of natural causes late Thursday night in a Great Falls hospital. Funeral services were held at the Christ Lutheran Church of Big Sandy. She was born on May 5, 1908, the daughter of Ola and Beda (Johson) Chrisofferson in Burtrum, Minn. She moved to Big Sandy with her father and three brothers when she was 4 years old. She attended country schools close to the family homestead and graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1927. She later taught at country schools for two years. She married Lloyd A. Pearson on Oct. 19, 1929, in Big Sandy. She farmed with her husband until the couple retired in 1952. She was a charter member of the Big Sandy Medical Guild, charter member of the Sunshine Ladies Aid, which later became CLCW, a charter member of the Big Sandy Senior Citizens, and lifetime member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Big Sandy. In addition, she was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Flower Garden Club. She loved to play cards and enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. She is survived by a son, Allan Pearson of Big Sandy, four grandsons and a granddaughter, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and a granddaughter.
