Her death came as a great shock to her loved ones and to the community. She is survived by her husband and infant child, her father and mother, and two brothers, Charles and Jesse. All deeply mourn her unexpected departure. She was married January 1, 1908, to Ray Gifford. In girlhood she entered the Methodist church and lived her religion. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Storm of this city. God's mysteries of grace are unrevealed, but emphasized by deaths like this one. She was prepared to go, but why she should have been called, just when she was so greatly needed and life had so much beauty and usefulness for her, the finite mind cannot grasp. The pathos of the death is unusual, and so regarded by the entire community. And in this case, it is unusually hard for the loved ones left behind to accept understandingly the doctrine that "He doth all things well," though all must bow to the inevitable. "Rest, beloved, rest in peace, Where life's warfare all doth cease; Where its tumult and its woe Never shall about thee flow."
