Description	:	Myrtle Henriette Bilden, the daughter of Edward Englebert and Julia Amelia (Rear) Bilden was born April 6, 1913 in Fayette County, near Elgin, Iowa. She died Monday, August 20, 2001 in the Good Samaritian Center in West Union, Iowa. She was baptizsed in the East Clermont Lutheran Church by the Rev. Gunsten. She graduated from the Clermont High School and attended Waldorf College in Forest City. While attending Waldorf, she played violin with the college orchestra and sang in the choirs. Read More	Myrtle Henriette Bilden, the daughter of Edward Englebert and Julia Amelia (Rear) Bilden was born April 6, 1913 in Fayette County, near Elgin, Iowa. She also taught in the rural schools for two years. August 14, 1940 Myrtle married Harry Tilford Amundson. They had three children. They farmed on the Bilden family farm for 40 years. She enjoyed her family, her garden and flowers, cooking and baking. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, who died Feb. 11, 1998, a daughter-in-law and three grandsons. Surviving are her three children, Jean, Paul and Harold, grandchildren and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Obituary can be found in the Elgin Echo, 2001.
