Description	:	The funeral for Myrtle Braun, 75, of Leeds was at the Leeds Lutheran Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died June 5, 2004 in the Palliative Care Unit of MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. The Nelson Funeral Home of Leeds was in charge of arrangements. Myrtle Irene Braun was born Aug. 6, 1928 to Arne and Ragna Torseth Odde at Pollock, SD. She was reared on the family farm and attended school in Pollock. Myrtle Irene Braun was born Aug. 6, 1928 to Arne and Ragna Torseth Odde at Pollock, SD. She was reared on the family farm and attended school in Pollock. She was married October 27, 1949, at Aberdeen, Brown County, SD, to Peter Braun. They lived at Herreid, SD until September of 1963, when they moved to Leeds. She was employed at Petsinger's Dept. Store and Paulson Supply, both in Leeds. He died June 12, 1977. She was a member of the Leeds Lutheran Church and was active in its WELCA. She held various jobs in church and was presently co-chairman of the quilting group and WELCA treasurer. She was also a five year Heart of America Volunteer at the Haaland Home and hospital gift shop in Rugby. She was a member of the Harlow VFW Auxiliary, Leeds American Legion Auxiliary and the Alfredian Club in Leeds. She enjoyed quilting, word puzzles, baking, traveling, playing cards, reading and gardening. Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Glenn) Hoffman and Renette (Doug) Anderson of Leeds; two sons, Michael (Elizabeth) Braun of Davenport, Iowa and James (Susan) Braun of Leeds; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Ray Odde of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a sister, Shirley Ochsner of Aberdeen, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Karen; three sisters, Anna Perry, Dorothy Zandstra and Margaret Freeman; and three brothers, Carl, Alfred and Leonard Odde.
