She married William Belt in 1953. He died in 1988. She lived in the Monticello community since 1988, coming here from LaPorte. She had worked in Muskegon, Mich., at Misner Music Shop until she moved to LaPorte in 1933. She managed the Diana Dress Shop there for 23 years. She was a member of... Main St., died at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare. She was born at Lowell, Ohio, on June 1, 1909, to William and Bessie Ball Augenstein. She married William Belt in 1953. He died in 1988. She lived in the Monticello community since 1988, coming here from LaPorte. She had worked in Muskegon, Mich., at Misner Music Shop until she moved to LaPorte in 1933. She managed the Diana Dress Shop there for 23 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Emma Stewart Club of Monticello. She was a member of Rainbow, Eagles Lodge and the Senior Citizens Club, all of Monticello. Survivors include a nephew, Richard Barth of Crete, Ill. Four sisters and a brother are deceased. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James R. Copeland. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Cemetery, Kokomo. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or the First Baptist Church, both of Monticello, or the Alzheimer's Association.
