Description	:	Myrtle Lily Taggart was born Feb. 7, 1899 near Beaconsfield, Iowa. She departed this life at the Afton Care Center where she had been a resident for four years, on Jan. 7, 1985. She was one of 12 children born to James and Belle Fugate. Nine have preceded her in death - Mary, Bill, Claude, Jasper, Nellie, Edna, Harry, Elsie, and an infant girl. She is survived by one sister, Neva Hoff and one brother, Ora Fugate. She married Robert Glenn Taggart in 1924. From this union there were born three daughters and one... She is survived by one sister, Neva Hoff and one brother, Ora Fugate. She married Robert Glenn Taggart in 1924. From this union there were born three daughters and one son, Clara Jean Romanelli, Reno, Nevada, Boyd Taggart of Ellston, Iowa, Louise Stone and Elaine Grady of Des Moines, Iowa. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in October, 1941. She moved to Des Moines in 1946 and moved back to Creston 6 years ago. She had worked as a telephone operator, at the Creston Hospital, and at the VA Hospital in Des Moines, prior to retiring. Her family will always remember her as a loving mother, who was always there when needed and helpful to all who needed her. Her services were held Jan. 9, 1985 in the United Methodist Church at Ellston, Iowa, at 1:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Jim Schutter and Rev. Cela Fugate of Kellerton, Myrtle's sister-in-law. Music was provided by Mrs. Leo Morgan and Mrs. Jim Jones. Casket bearers were Daniel Smith, Richard Smith, Michael Grady, Perry Hansen, Harold Moore and Scott Moore. Burial was at the Ellston Cemetery with Wilson-Watson Funeral Home of Mount Ayr in charge of arrangements.
