Description	:	Myrtle Louise Vansteenwyke was born August 29, 1903 in Struble, Iowa to Albert and Orpha (Millard) Noble. She grew up in Iowa and moved to Clear Lake, So.Dak. as a young woman. She owned and operated a chicken hatchery for a few years before operating a cafe in Clear Lake for over 30 years. Myrtle married Muri Norris in 1923 and to this union one daughter was born. Read More	Myrtle Louise Vansteenwyke was born August 29, 1903 in Struble, Iowa to Albert and Orpha (Millard) Noble. She grew up in Iowa and moved to Clear Lake, So.Dak. as a young woman. She owned and operated a chicken hatchery for a few years before operating a cafe in Clear Lake for over 30 years. Myrtle married Muri Norris in 1923 and to this union one daughter was born. Muri and Myrtle were divorced in 1925 and later she married Mark Vansteenwyke who passed away in 1936. Myrtle retired in 1983 at the age of 80. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since June of 1995. Myrtle was a member of the United Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors of America. Myrtle passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 1998 at the age of 94 years. Myrtle is survived by one daughter, seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren; two brothers, George (and Rose) Noble of Lake Benton, MN and Dale (and Aggie) Noble of Le Mars, IA; one son-in-law of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces and nephews; and two special people, Larry Bull and Larry Collier. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lois Wieber; one granddaughter Vivian Collier; four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Clear Lake with Rev. Peggy Zerface officiating. Burial was in the Lakeview Cemetery at Clear Lake with Crawford-Eng Funeral Home of Clear Lake in charge of the arrangements.
