Description	:	Myrtle Olson, 100 Myrtle Olson, 100 of the Bickford Cottages in Marshalltown, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001 at her home while in the care of Iowa River Hospice. Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Chapel with Pastor John Shank officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday after 5 p.m. with the family being present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to greet friends. She was born July 22 1901 in Brewster County, Minn., the daughter of Blom and Martha Bryngelson. On March 16, 1921 she was united in marriage to Clifford Olson. He preceded her in death February of 1992. Reared and educated in South Dakota, she moved to the area in 1916. Following their marrage, they farmed near Dunbar and LaMoille until 1957 when they retired and moved to Marshalltown. After moving to Marshalltown, she was employed by the Marshalltown Country Club for several years. She was a loving mother to seven children who survive -- Carroll (Helen) Olson of Sun City Center, Fla., Robert (Anne) Olson of San Diego, Calif., Howard (Kay) Olson of Koxak, Tenn., Sharon, Mrs. Julian Carrillo of West Des Moines, Joan Dudeck of Marshalltown, Doris, Mrs. Edward Heng of Marshalltown and Jean, Mrs. Charles Johnson of LaMoille. There are 25 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren. One sister, Della Hillman of Madison, Minn. also survives. Proceeding her in death were her parrents; husband; two grandchildren, Todd Johnson and Landi Young; three sisters and three brothers. Times-Republican, Thursday, September 6, 2001
