Description	:	Nan Yvonne Breece, 99, died March 1, 2021. She was born December 16, 1921 to Ray and Edith (Coomer) Whipple and attended Ashley School for 12 years, graduating in 1939. Nan graduated from Ohio University in 1943 and worked as a county extension agent and teacher before marrying Dale Breece, her husband of 50 years, in 1947. She lived most of her life in Ashley, and was a skilled seamstress, making suits and wedding gowns for many folks in the county, as well as knitting sweaters that were sold in a boutique in New York. She also worked... Read More	Nan Yvonne Breece, 99, died March 1, 2021. She was born December 16, 1921 to Ray and Edith (Coomer) Whipple and attended Ashley School for 12 years, graduating in 1939. Nan graduated from Ohio University in 1943 and worked as a county extension agent and teacher before marrying Dale Breece, her husband of 50 years, in 1947. She lived most of her life in Ashley, and was a skilled seamstress, making suits and wedding gowns for many folks in the county, as well as knitting sweaters that were sold in a boutique in New York. She also worked as a substitute teacher, lifeguard and county fair judge, and volunteered for years on the Delaware County Mental Health Board. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother and sister-in-law Ted and Lynn Whipple. Nan is survived by her children, Beth and Jim Breece of Ashley. The family would like to thank the staff at Delaware Court Healthcare Center for the excellent care and genuine affection they showed Mom. We would also like to thank Margarita Kent for being a devoted friend for over 30 years. There will be no calling hours or memorial service at this time.
