Nancy Almeda Cashatt was born December 25, 1866 in Jasper county, Iowa, the daughter of James and Lurina Cashatt, and died June 19, 1942 at the home of Mrs. Clara Wallingford in Coon Rapids, Iowa at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 25 days, after an illness of four years. She married Sigel Heater at Coon Rapids in February, 1892, and to them were born two children. She made her home in this community for more than 50 years and raised the two children herself from childhood. The son, Paul, died in 1914; the daughter, Floy (Mrs. Fred Belts) lives at Coon Rapids. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ed Brown of Coon Rapids; and by three grandchildren Florence, Glenn and Clyde Betts of Coon Rapids.
