Hodges, departed this life on May the 2nd, '99, aged 20 years and six months. The departed professed faith in Christ in early life. She leaves a husband and two children to mourn her loss, besides a host of friends who feel that in the death of this good woman they have sustained a great loss. Mrs. Callie, wife of W. R. Hodges, departed this life on May the 2nd, '99, aged 20 years and six months. The departed professed faith in Christ in early life. She leaves a husband and two children to mourn her loss, besides a host of friends who feel that in the death of this good woman they have sustained a great loss. She died as she had lived, and has gone home to die no more. For the second time death has entered the home of Mr. Hodges and robbed him of the dearest one on earth to him. She passed away as if going to sleep. "Asleep in Jesus blessed sleep, from which none ever wakes to weep." We fully believe that while her many friends grieve for her departure that their loss is her gain. "I heard a voice from heaven saying, blessed is the dead who die in the Lord. Yey sayeth the spirit that they may rest from their labors and their works follow them. May the Lord deal gently with the husband and reunite them some sweet day in heaven.
