Born in Bamberg County, SC she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Emory Hightower and Mozelle (Craven) Hightower. Mrs. Davis was married to the late Joe W. Davis. She was a member of Hagood Avenue Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years; she also sang in the church choir, was a member of the WMU and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was Director of Voter’s Registration for Barnwell County for 19 years and was a former member of the Barnwell Garden Club. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Davis Hiott of Barnwell; son-in-law, Paul Anthony Turner of Lexington; granddaughters, Robin Elaine Hiott of Barnwell, Jodi Ashton Turner of Columbia; sister, Norma Hightower Hammond of Greenwood; brother, Lloyd Emerson Hightower of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Davis Turner and a brother, Steve Hightower. Folk Funeral Home Website
