Description	:	Nancy Elizabeth Jensen, 87, of Waverly, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly surrounded by her family. Nancy was born September 20, 1922, in Redfern, New South Wales, Australia, the daughter of Thomas S. and Ivy M. (McGrath) Dawson. On December 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Kermit Jensen at the Peace Evangelical Reformed Church in Waverly. The couple farmed around the Waverly area for their entire working lives. Kermit passed away on July 21, 2000. Nancy's passion was knitting. She enjoyed the activities at Bartels, especially painting, which became her newfound love.... Kermit passed away on July 21, 2000. Nancy's passion was knitting. She enjoyed the activities at Bartels, especially painting, which became her newfound love. She cherished the time that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nancy is survived by two sons, Brent Jensen of Waverly and Grant (Nancy) Jensen of Waverly; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Jenny) Jensen, Christopher (Alisha) Jensen, JoLyn (Greg) Berry, Timothy Jensen; seven great grandchildren, Jenna and JaNiese Jensen, Peyton and Thomas Jensen, Alexis, Ryne, and Andrew Berry; three brothers, Jack, Jim, and Mick Dawson of Australia; two sisters, Julie and Robyn of Australia. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kermit, and one brother, Thomas Dawson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Heritage United Methodist Church in Waverly with Pastor Moody Colorado officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Janesville. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in Waverly and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to Heritage United Methodist Church Building Fund
