Description	:	DEATH OF MRS. NANCY CROMWELL. Nancy E. Deakins was born in Shelby county, Missouri, September 23, 1851. When a child she went with her parents to Indiana. She was united in marriage to Henry C. Cromwell March 13, 1867. A few years later they moved to Iowa, and after a brief residence there came to Fillmore county, Nebraska in 1872. To Mr. and Mrs. Cromwell were born six sons and six daughters, all of whom excepting two daughters, survive their mother, and mourn her departure. A few years later they moved to Iowa, and after a brief residence there came to Fillmore county, Nebraska in 1872. To Mr. and Mrs. Cromwell were born six sons and six daughters, all of whom excepting two daughters, survive their mother, and mourn her departure. She also leaves one brother and two sisters also thirty-eight grand children and seven great-grandchildren. She became a Christian when young and throughout her life was a faithful member of the United Brethren church. Four years ago she purchased a home in Geneva, and moved in from the old homestead. Her last illness dates from February 2 of this year. She suffered greatly at times, but was patient and happy through it all. Death came to her release in the early morning of August 17, 1923. Her age was 71 years 10 months and 14 days. Funeral services were held in the United Brethren church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E.H. Pontius, assisted by Mrs. C. E. Harrington.
