Dilts was born in Circleville, O., March 4th, 1825, and died at her home April 23d, 1900, after an illness of three weeks. She was united in marriage to James Q. Inskeep February the 3d, 1852, who died Nov. 5th, 1861. Of this union two children were born, Samuel Steele, who died March 2d, 1892, and Geo. W., who is living in Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Wm. Ambrose August 19th, 1875, with whom she lived happily for almost eleven years, when he was called home. Of a family of nine children, one brother, George Dilts, remains. She was of a cheerful disposition, cordial in her hospitality and loyal to her friends. In early life she united with the Presbyterian Church at this place, where she remained a consistent member until her death. She died sustained by the faith in which she lived.
