Woods, 85, was born on January 19, 1933, in Greene County, to William Arthur Collins Sr. and Arline Huffman Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Woods and her brothers, W.A. Collins Jr. (Lucy) and Thomas Collins (Norma). She is survived by daughters, Barbara Powell (Ray), and JoAnn Woods (Tommy); a grandson, James Phillip Powell (Karrie); and four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Leah, Jordan,... Read More	Nancy Lee Collins Woods departed this life on August 31, 2018, and now rejoices with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her husband, Pastor James E. Woods. Nancy C. Woods, 85, was born on January 19, 1933, in Greene County, to William Arthur Collins Sr. and Arline Huffman Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Woods and her brothers, W.A. Collins Jr. (Lucy) and Thomas Collins (Norma). She is survived by daughters, Barbara Powell (Ray), and JoAnn Woods (Tommy); a grandson, James Phillip Powell (Karrie); and four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Leah, Jordan, and Drew Powell. Nancy and her husband of 67 years together founded the First Bible Baptist Church and United Christian Academy. Nancy served faithfully as an Administrative Assistant for the Academy. Her passion and dedication to serve the Lord was seen in her love for life, her family, church family and community. She would often remind us of Psalm 27:14, "Wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart." A private graveside service was held on August 31, 2018, at Stanardsville Cemetery in Stanardsville, Virginia, officiated by Pastor Phillip Powell. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at the First Bible Baptist Church, in Ruckersville, Va. at 4 p.m. If desired, contributions may be made to the Stanardsville Cemetery Foundation, P.O. Box 53. Quinque, VA 22965 in her memory. Kyger Funeral Homes and Crematory in Harrisonburg, Virginia was in charge of arrangements. (Daily Progress)
