Her body was then taken to Hickman, Nebraska where she was buried in the Swiggart Family Cemetery.) Nancy was the daughter of George W. and Martha Grim Swiggart. She married Enoch Milford Shipley on September 8, 1866 in Douglas county, Nebraska and they had three daughters, Louisa b. 1867, Mary b. 1868 and Nettie May, b. 1875 Enoch Shipley disappeared in Nebraska, about 1875. George Swiggart then brought what was left of his family, including daughter Nancy Shipley and her baby to Lancaster County, Nebraska.") After Enoch's disappearance Nancy married a second time to Heber Wilding, son of David and Alice Atkinson Wilding. Heber and Nancy had two daughters, Nellie b. 1882 and Georgia b. 1881. Nancy and Heber are both buried in Hickman cemetery. Nancy's third daughter, Nettie May Shipley Daharsh and Nettie's husband Darwin Daharsh, are also buried in the Swiggart cemetery. --------------------------------- OBIT, The Nebraska State Journal, Lincoln, Neb. Mar. 5, 1939 Mrs. Nancy Jane Wilding, 89, died Feb. 13, 1939 at the home of her daughter Mrs. A. W. Freeman, Madison Wisconsin after a long illness. Born Nancy Jane Swiggart at Milan, Mo. she removed with her parents at the age of 13 to Florence, Neb. Some few years later she moved with her husband [Hebert Wilding] and children to Hickman, where she resided for many years. She was a member of the Methodist church at Hickman and later became a member of the Church of God. Ten years after the passing of her husband on Nov. 25, 1900 she removed to Lincoln with her daughter Mrs. A. W. Freeman. When Mr. and Mrs. Freeman went to Madison in 1930 she resided there with them. Mrs. Wilding has been a faithful Christian since her conversion in girlhood and in her declining years listened attentively to the reading of the Bible in its entirety by her children. Brief services were held in Madison after which the body was brought to Hickman for services and interment Feb. 17. Pallbearers were six grandsons. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Louie Crouch, Arapahoe, Neb., Mrs. Richard Crump, Mrs. Nettie Daharsh and Mrs. A. W. Freeman of Madison; stepson David Wilding of Lincoln, brothers: James Swiggart of Tryon, Ok., J. M. Swiggart of Nampa Idaho, D. C. Swiggart of Lincoln, sister Mrs. Mary Crouch, Hyannis 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
