Description	:	Nancy Mabe Ray, 77, of Madison, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. An 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Thane Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at North View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Danbury. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Nancy was born in Stokes County on November 1, 1944 to the late Tom and Bertha Moorefield Mabe. She was a member of Woodbine Baptist Church where she always enjoyed going.... Nancy was born in Stokes County on November 1, 1944 to the late Tom and Bertha Moorefield Mabe. She was a member of Woodbine Baptist Church where she always enjoyed going. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family especially luncheons, birthdays, and holidays. She also loved her cat Yittle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by six brothers; two sisters; and four nieces and nephews. She is survived by her son, Donald Ray and husband Timothy Punch of Hickory, NC; her sisters, Alice Anderson of Reidsville and Ellen Stuart and husband Larry of Madison; and 15 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
