Burial will be in Gethemane Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of Evelyn Kemmerlin Spigner and the late Henry R. Spigner. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Gethsamane Baptist Church. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Eugene Spigner. Survivors include her husband, Clark Mitchell, of the home; sons, Justin Cole Mitchell, of St. Matthews, Stanley Kyle Mitchell, of St. Matthews; stepson, Dr. James Clark Mitchell III, of Bamberg; his mother; three brothers, David Ronald Spigner, Henry Randolph Spigner Jr. and John Christopher Spigner, all of St. Matthews; a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home and at other times, at the residence of Mrs. Henry R. Spigner, 594 Old Number 6 Highway, St. Matthews.
