Description	:	Nancy Eveline Hudson was born February 2, 1852 at Coach Burgh, Illinois, died at her home in Lincoln, Nebraska January 4, 1916, at the age of 63 years, 11 months and 2 days. She was married to Joseph McCormick in 1869. To them four children were born, Martha, Eugene, Clara and Ira; the daughters preceded their mother to the Home beyond. She was married to Joseph McCormick in 1869. To them four children were born, Martha, Eugene, Clara and Ira; the daughters preceded their mother to the Home beyond. Mrs. McCormick was bereft of her husband in 1884. Was married to J. M. Thornton in Beaver Crossing in 1888. To them were born three children, William, Harriet and Marie. Harriet died in infancy. Mrs. Thornton was converted and united with the Evangelical Association in Beaver Crossing about 1898 and lived a consistent Christian until her death. She left three sons, one daughter. four grandchildren and many friends to mourn her departure. Her children, H. E. McCormick of Lincoln, Ira McCormick of Beaver Crossing, William and Marie Thornton of Lincoln, and the grandchildren were with her during her last illness. The body, accompanied by the relatives, was brought to Beaver Crossing Tuesday noon and the funeral held the same afternoon in the Evangelical Church. Services were conducted by Rev. G. B. Bancroft of Lincoln, during whose ministry she was converted and united with the church. The body was buried in the family lot in the Beaver Crossing Cemetery. The family has the sympathy of the community. Beaver Crossing Times, Beaver Crossing, NE, Wed, January 5, 1916 Mrs. Thornton of Beaver Crossing, was granted a divorce in the District Court last week.
