Description	:	Nancy S. Emery was born in Highland county, Ohio, May 12, 1851, and passed away at her home in Milton, Ia., January 14, 1927, aged seventy-five years, eight months and two days. On October 10, 1867, she was united in marriage with Noah I. Workman. To them were born two children, Cora D. Davis and Clarence, both of whom died some years ago. The deceased and her husband removed from Ohio in 1873 and settled on a farm five miles northeast of Cantril. Emery was born in Highland county, Ohio, May 12, 1851, and passed away at her home in Milton, Ia., January 14, 1927, aged seventy-five years, eight months and two days. On October 10, 1867, she was united in marriage with Noah I. Workman. To them were born two children, Cora D. Davis and Clarence, both of whom died some years ago. The deceased and her husband removed from Ohio in 1873 and settled on a farm five miles northeast of Cantril. They continued to reside there until 1899 when they came to Milton where they continued to live until called to the Great Beyond. The husband passed away in 1907. Sister Workman was a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal church and when at all able was always present at the Sunday School, church services, prayer meeting and the Woman's Home and Woman's Foreign Missionary Societies. For many years she was a member of the Methodist church at Bethel near Pittsburg and united with the Methodist church in Milton twenty-eight years ago. She was also a member of the G. A. R. Circle being chaplain at the time of her death; the Rebekah Lodge of Milton and the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. There remains one brother, W. S. Emery, of Garden City, Kansas; two grandchildren, Mrs. Lela S. Jack, of Monroe, Iowa, and Emery Workman of Milton, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Burl Smith of Milton, Iowa, Genevieve, Cathryn nad [sic] Thayne Jack of Monroe, Iowa, and other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted from the home in Milton, at the Christian church on Sunday, January 16, by her pastor, Rev. H. F. Gilbert, assisted by Rev. Alteide, pastor of the Christian church at Milton.
