Fitzgerald, who lives near Pilgrim Rest, this county. She was quite old, being in her eightieth year, and was in her usual health which was quite good for a lady of her age, until about 5 o'clock p.m. Monday the 18th, when she arose from her chair to walk across the room paralysis seized one of her legs and she fell heavily to the floor. Being a large fleshy woman she was hurt by the fall and the family hurried a message after a physician who arrived and after examination pronounced no bones broken and gave her such medical attention as was thought necessary. She got along nicely till Friday noon when she grew much worse and died before day next morning. The remains were brought over and interred in the Hulsey graveyard Sunday evening about 3 o'clock, funeral services conducted by Eld. Jas. Dodson. The deceased leaves several children to mourn her loss. She was a good woman in the ordinary sense of the that term; but nobler still she was a devoted and consecrated Christian, dutiful, gentle and lovable in her services to the Lord. -J.D.
