Nancy, 87, of the Ten Mile Community, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 2, 2009, in her residence. She was born in the Ten Mile Community on August 29, 1921 to the union of Mitch Thompson and Fannie Doyle Thompson. Mrs. Mancil was a retiree of the Rapides Parish School Board, a member of the Occupy #1 Baptist Church, as we as a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Mancil; her father and mother, Mitch and Fannie Thompson, one daughter, Peggy Henderson; five brothers, Ernest Thompson, Jim Thompson, Enos Thompson, Alvin Thompson, and Archie Thompson; and three sisters, Elizabeth Maricle, Edna Doyle, and Effie Thompson.She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, two sons, Bobby Mancil and wife, Susan of Alexandria, and Hollis Mancil and wife, Dianna of Oakdale; three daughters, Nita Johnson and husband, Edward of Ten Mile Community, Diane Loupe and husband, "Red" of Gonzales, and Denise Robinson and husband, Greg of Hineston; nine grandchildren, Charles Wayne Johnson, Lisa Johnson Girlinghouse, Anthony Mancil, Brandon Mancil, Angie Wray, Keith Mancil, Ashley Mancil Clark, Russell Wade Robinson, and Michelle Robinson Shilling; one sister, Adrey Willis Cabot of Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Ty Girlinghouse, Russell Robinson, Jeffrey Clark, David Wray, Venoy Thompson, Rodney Thompson, and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Charles Wayne Johnson, Anthony Mancil, Keith Mancil, Brandon Mancil, and Bo Shilling.Visitation will be today until time of service in the church.
