Read More	BATTLE CREEK ENTERPRISE; Thursday, February 28, 1946; P. 1 Obituary-Tiedgen Nannie Frances Sesler Tiedgen was born in Lafayette, Va, Feb 18,1868, and passed from this life in Battle Creek February 24, 1946,at the age of 78 years and 6 days. She came to Madison County, Nebraska with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Zed Sesler, when she was sixteen years of age and was married to William H. Tiedgen of Battle Creek February 5, 1891, and they had since made their home here. To this union were born eleven children, seven sons and four daughters. Two of the sons died in infancy and Kenneth, the youngest son, preceded her in death by five years. Mrs. Tiedgen, known by many in the community as "Aunt Nan", was baptized into Christ on November 25, 1913, and was an active member of the Highland Church of Christ which was located south west of battle Creek. This last year preceding her death she has had an active part in the establishment of the Church of Christ that is now in Battle Creek. Her life was a useful and helpful one and needs no commendation to those who knew her. Mr. and Mrs. Tiedgen celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary on February 5. Surviving are her husband; four sons, John F., Hobart W., Willard R., Battle Creek, and Ted R., Babbit, Nevada; four daughters, Ida M. Carter, Tacoma, Wash.; Marcella Anderson, Los Angeles, Calif.; Faye M. Werner, Meadow Grove, and Helen V. Werner, Battle Creek; one brother, Frank Sesler, Atkinson; one sister, Mrs. Olive Kurtz, Meadow Grove, eleven grandchildren and many other relatives.
