Description	:	DOBSON, NC ~ Mrs. Nannie Sue Norman Marion, age 78, died Thursday evening, June 11, 2009, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Nannie Sue was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her Lord supremely. She was a longstanding and active member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Read More	DOBSON, NC ~ Mrs. Nannie Sue Norman Marion, age 78, died Thursday evening, June 11, 2009, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Nannie Sue was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her Lord supremely. She was a longstanding and active member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She was born on November 4, 1930, to the late James "Jim" and Beulah Norman of East Bend. She is survived by three sons: Tony N. Marion (Sandy) of Memphis, Tenn., Ernie Marion (Donna), and Jimmy Marion (Sandy) of Pinnacle; two granddaughters: Heather Marion of Pinnacle and Stephanie Marion of Memphis, Tenn.; one grandson, Zachary Marion of Atlanta, GA; one step-grandson, Jason Pettitt (Crystal); and one step-great-grandson, Jacob Pettitt of Pinnacle; four sisters: Virginia Woodruff, Lillian Matthews, Betty Kennedy, and Bertha Rothrock; one brother, Gus Norman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edison Samuel Marion; and two brothers: Ray and Edgar Norman. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Fairview United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Dowdy and Rev. Stuart Roten officiating with the burial immediately following at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 13, 2009, from 7-9 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Woltz Hospice Home for their devoted, compassionate, and loving care given to "Mom." Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain is assisting the Marion family.
