She was born Dec. 14, 1908, in Fremont County, to David Alonza and Althea Omega (Nims) Norton. She was united in marriage to Raymond Oliver Trively on July 18, 1928, in Council Bluffs. To this union four daughters were born, Joan, Carolyn, Geraldine and Patricia. She assisted her husband on the farm and enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved gardening, crocheting, reading, and doing handwork. Once she lost her sight, she was still able to use the talking book series, which she thoroughly appreciated. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Malvern and had belonged to the Garden Club, L.T.N. and Mary Circle. Mrs. Trively resided in her home in Malvern prior to moving to Linnwood Estates in Glenwood and then to Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; daughter, Joan Ellison and her husband Charles; and six siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Joyce and husband Harold Randol of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; Geraldine K. and husband Raymond Volz of Malvern; Patricia Jean Falk of Prairie Village, Kan.; sisters, Evelyn Sowers of Emerson; Clarice Kitchen of Riverside, Calif.; brother, Allan Norton of Tacoma, Wash.; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends. Memorials may be made to the Hospice With Heart or Library for the Blind. Peterson Mortuary of Glenwood was in charge of arrangements
