She was stricken about 1 o'clock Wednesday morning with a severe attack and did not rally. She regained consciousness and was conscious to the end. She had been in usual health up to Wednesday, save for occasional attacks of indigestion. With her husband she moved to Winfield in 1895, to be with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Barnett. The funeral services will be held at the First Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dr. S.A. Chappell pastor of the church will be assisted by Dr. F.E. Mossman of Southwestern. Naomi Ellen Barnett was born in Randolph County, Indiana, April 1st, 1857. Moved with her parents to Anderson County, Kansas near Garnett, in the fall of 1870. She was united in marriage to A. Will Althouse October 23, 1881, at Garnett, Kansas. They moved to Winfield October 1895. She passed away from this life December 21, 1917, was 60 years 8 months and 20 days of age. Her mother, two sisters, and two brothers preceded her to the other world. She was the daughter of T.D. and N.L. Barnett. Her husband, father and one brother, survive. She was a member of the Methodist church since she was ten years old. Her father is now living at San Diego. Her mother died in 1896 and is buried in Union cemetery. Her brother lives at Stark, Kansas.
