Description	:	BLUE GRASS, Iowa--Naomi E. Rose, of Blue Grass, Iowa, passed away Monday, June 18, 2007, at Genesis West following an extended illness. Following cremation, memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary Chapel. There will be no visitation. Private burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery at a later time. Memorials may be made to the Blue Grass Fire Department. She was born February 1, 1919, the daughter of Gustave and Ruby (Pahl) Schroeder. She was born February 1, 1919, the daughter of Gustave and Ruby (Pahl) Schroeder. A life-long resident of Blue Grass, she lived in a house built by her father for nearly 80 years. Serving at one time as Blue Grass postmistress, Mrs Rose was later employed by Dr. Wilbur Huls and assisted with the birth of her first grandson. A highlight of her life was serving as Grand Marshall of the Blue Grass Homecoming Parade in 2003, where she was recognized as the longest living resident that had been born there. On January 14, 1976, she married Birt Rose in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death February 18, 1999. Survivors include Children and spouses, Ronald and Julie Morrison, of Blue Grass, Jerry and Sharon Morrison, of Davenport, David and Sue Stoffers, of Walcott, Peggy and Bruce Stineman, of Davenport, and Donna Wiese, of Davenport; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, and one on the way; three great-great-grandchildren; and several cousins. The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff at Genesis West, Chaplain Becky David, and Dr. Packy Heuttman for their help and kind care of their mother.
