Description	:	Naomi Robinson was born October 10, 1951 in Storm Lake, Iowa the daughter of Wendell and Norma (Wright) Robinson. Growing up, she was confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Schaller. Read More	Naomi Robinson was born October 10, 1951 in Storm Lake, Iowa the daughter of Wendell and Norma (Wright) Robinson. Growing up, she was confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Schaller. Naomi attended school in Odebolt where she graduated from Odebolt High School. Following high school graduation, she attended Buena Vista College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1973. Upon her commencement, she worked as an elementary school teacher for two years in Storm Lake. The following year, she began a two-year stint as an education specialist intern with the United States Army, at which point she became an education and test specialist. During this time, she returned to school, obtaining a Master of Arts in education from George Washington University. In 1979, she transferred to the role of training systems analyst – a position she held for three years. From 1985 to 1987, she assumed the role of analyst in operations research and training systems for the Army at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Supported by outstanding training and knowledge with the United States Army, Naomi took on a variety of additional roles throughout her career, including education specialist and director of training technology and laboratory for Training Development and Analysis Directorate, and chief of the special projects team. Beginning in 1990, Naomi worked with other institutions in addition to maintaining affiliation with the Army. From 1990 to 1994, she served as a program manager for the COR Training Development and Analysis Directorate for the TRADOC training mission support contract. During that time, she also took on the role of acting division chief of the training research and studies division of the Army – a role she held until 1996. At that time, she became the director of the operations support division and executive officer for training development and analysis activity at Fort Monroe. In 2000, she started working with ADCST and their chief resource support division, G3-TNG at HQ Fifth Army as assistant deputy chief of staff and Deputy Chief of Staff G5 for homeland defense until retirement. Naomi affiliated herself with the National Association of Female Executives, the Iowa Education Association, the Business, Professional Women’s Club, and Federally Employed Women. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to parlay her knowledge into numerous creative works, including “Guidelines for Development of Skill Qualification Tests” and “Standard Operating Procedure for TRADOC Training Mission Support Contract.” Additionally, she has had the honor of being included in Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, Who’s Who of American Women, and Who’s Who in American Education. In her spare time, Naomi enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and hearing what was going on with their families’ lives. She was close with her farm’s long term renters and interested in what was going on with the farming operation. She also enjoyed shopping and was extremely willing to help out a friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include many close friends.
