Description	:	Naomi L. "Nan" Lock Lorch, 81, of Vevay, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at King's Daughters' Hospital. She was born April 24, 1926, in Switzerland County, the daughter of Walter Scott and Ethel M. Covington Lock. She was employed at the U.S. Shoe factory in Vevay for 17 years and retired from Randall Textron Inc. in Vevay. She also worked at the Dollar Store in Vevay for several years until it closed. "Nan" Lock Lorch, 81, of Vevay, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at King's Daughters' Hospital. She was born April 24, 1926, in Switzerland County, the daughter of Walter Scott and Ethel M. Covington Lock. She was employed at the U.S. Shoe factory in Vevay for 17 years and retired from Randall Textron Inc. in Vevay. She also worked at the Dollar Store in Vevay for several years until it closed. She enjoyed reading, working and volunteering. In 1996, she began working at the Switzerland County Welcome Center. She was a member of the Bennington Chapter 407 of the Order of the Easter Star and the Vevay Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5396 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her companion, Donald Leap of Vevay; one brother, John L. Lock of Vevay; one stepdaughter, Linda Thieman of Bennington; one stepgrandson; three nephews; one niece; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Douglas "Jack" Lorch, whom she married May 31, 1960, and who died March 15, 1976; her parents; one brother, Leonard Lock, who died Jan. 9, 2003; and one stepgrandson. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery. Madison Courier 2/4/08
