Description	:	On Sept. 25, 2012, we lost a much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend when Naomi Brush passed away at the Billings Clinic ICU. Naomi was born to Fred and Amelia (Fritz) Schneidmiller on May 20, 1927, in Minatare, Neb. Her family moved around a lot, but Naomi enjoyed the time spent on the farm. Naomi was born to Fred and Amelia (Fritz) Schneidmiller on May 20, 1927, in Minatare, Neb. Her family moved around a lot, but Naomi enjoyed the time spent on the farm. After graduating from the Shepherd High School, Naomi worked as a bookkeeper for International Harvester and a Billings electric company. On July 27, 1946, she married Ray Brush after a whirlwind romance. Ray and Naomi had three sons; Marvin, who died shortly after birth, Ray II, and Robert. Naomi went back to work as a bookkeeper in the wholesale lumber business in 1958, starting with Boorman's Lumber in Billings and retiring from Wholesale Building Materials. During this period, the family spent four years in Missoula, Mont., where Naomi worked for the Anaconda Forest Products. After retiring, Naomi kept busy by volunteering at the Billings Chamber of Commerce and the Billings Deaconess Hospital, later the Billings Clinic. Naomi enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed the Brush family reunions at her nephew and niece's, Melvin (Shorty) and Judy Brush's home in Lemmon, S.D. Another joy in Naomi's life was her monthly Saturday breakfasts with her special friend, Carolyn Ritz. Christmases in Butte with her great grandchildren were special times. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband; sons Robert and Marvin (infant); brothers Samuel, Victor (infant), and Emmanuel; sisters and brothers-in law Rachel (Lorenz) DiPasquale and Hannah (George) Krum; sisters-in-law Berniece Brush, Mabel Cross, and Florence McLaughlin; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Elmer (Elizabeth), Melvin (Hazel), Eugene, Harry (Lorraine), Roy, and Jay Brush. She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law Ray II and Bette Jeanne Brush of Butte, and Katie Brush of Billings; grandsons Niles of Lolo and Edward of Bozeman; granddaughter-in-law April Brush and great grandchildren Diedrich and Rheanna Brush of Butte; sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Maurice Styger of Billings; sister-in-law Ida Brush of Lockwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations may be made from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, and Saturday until service time at Smith Downtown Chapel, 925 S. 27th Street. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Smith Downtown Chapel with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
