Description	:	Lafamme ERROL NH - Napoleon Boivin, 43, of Berlin, was fatally injured shortly after 10 o'clock Sunday morning, July 31, 1938 at Lakeside, a Summer resort on Lake Umbagog near here. Mr. Boivin, according to the police was attempting to push a large truck which had become mired in the mud when he evidently fell beneath the wheels and was crushed. Dr. L. P. Read More	Lafamme ERROL NH - Napoleon Boivin, 43, of Berlin, was fatally injured shortly after 10 o'clock Sunday morning, July 31, 1938 at Lakeside, a Summer resort on Lake Umbagog near here. Mr. Boivin, according to the police was attempting to push a large truck which had become mired in the mud when he evidently fell beneath the wheels and was crushed. Dr. L. P. Beaudoin of Berlin, and an ambulance raced 46 miles from Berlin to the scene of the accident. The injured man was given first aid and taken to the hospital in the ambulance, but died of his injuries while on the way. Thomas E. Sweeney, an eyewitness, told police the truck wheels ran the whole length of Boivin's body. Leo Dupuis, 27, also of Berlin and driver of the truck was unable to give police clear details of how the accident happened. Boivin was one of a large group who had ridden to the resort in the truck for a day's outing. His wife, who was present, collapsed after witnessing the accident. Boivin, who is the manager of a local bottling concern, was born in St. Damien, Que., and had resided in Berlin since 1899. He is survived by the widow, the former Emma Gagne, one son, Raymond, 18, two sisters, Mrs. Wilfred Lambert and Mrs. Sinai J. Bernier both of Berlin. Boivin had a narrow escape from death in April of 1935 when a truck he was riding in was struck by a speeding passenger train at a crossing near Gorham. At that time he and his companion had a miraculous escape while the truck was demolished.
