Description	:	Napoleon R. Rheaume, 90, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, after a brief illness. He was a near-lifelong resident of Berlin, moving to Dover in 2015 to accept the loving support of his family. He was born in Berlin on June 20, 1926, the son of Napoleon J. and Delia (Guilmette) Rheaume. During WW II he served as an observer for the Civil Air Patrol before joining the U.S. Navy in 1943, where he served until 1945. Rheaume, 90, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, after a brief illness. He was a near-lifelong resident of Berlin, moving to Dover in 2015 to accept the loving support of his family. He was born in Berlin on June 20, 1926, the son of Napoleon J. and Delia (Guilmette) Rheaume. During WW II he served as an observer for the Civil Air Patrol before joining the U.S. Navy in 1943, where he served until 1945. Upon his return, he finished his education, graduating from Berlin High School in 1948. At school, he met his future wife, Rita (Lamothe). They married in November 1950. He was employed for 39 years at Brown Company (later James River Paper), for many years as a technician in the laboratory. He used his self-taught knowledge of chemistry to create chemical solutions used by the mill. He retired in 1992. In retirement, he maintained his long-time family home and enjoyed the company of family. He proudly raised the U.S. flag each morning in front of his Caution-home. He is survived by his wife; sister Janet Laskowski of Southbridge, Mass; children Wayne Rheaume of Stratham, Deborah Rheaume of Tucson, Ariz, Gary Rheaume and wife Sherri (Mohney) of Barrington, and David Rheaume and wife Beth Moreau of Portsmouth; grandchildren Jay Bothwell of Montpelier, Vt, Samuel Rheaume of Burlington, Vt., Jacob Rheaume of Chicago, and Zachary Rheaume of Barrington; great-granddaughter Sadie Bothwell; and a number of nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by half-brother Antonio (Tony) St. Hilaire, of Berlin, and sister Cora Rheaume of Hartford, Conn. Calling hours will be Wed, March 1, 2017, from 4-6pm at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 11am at St. Mary's Church on the Corner of Chestnut and Third St., Dover. Burial will follow on Friday at St. Kierans Cemetery in Berlin, NH. Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH. Published in Union Leader on Feb. 28, 2017.
