He was born April 20, 1922 in Ottumwa to Harry and Margaret M. Lee Paulos. He married Maxine Donahoo on December 16, 1944 in Spokane, WA. She preceded him in death June 15, 2008. Schaefer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are four sons, Nathan E.(Dixie)Paulos Jr. of Bloomfield, Jerry(Kim)Paulos of Eddyville, Harry "Dube" Paulos of Batavia, Edward Paulos of Ottumwa; a daughter, Naomi(Tim)Clark of Agency; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Emma Bailey of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Colton Elder; five brothers, Robert E., James, Chester, Harry and Jerry Paulos; five sisters, Hulda Stump, Sophia Estes, Gertrude Richards, Ellen Flactiff and Ruby Paulos. Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Dan Smith and Bill Payne officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B.Nelson Post #3 American Legion. Visitation begins at 9 am Thursday with the family present from 5-7 pm Thursday. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
