Description	:	SANGERVILLE, Nathan Martin Jordan, 81, husband of the late Addie Elizabeth "Betty" Jordan, has come to rest after a bravely fought battle with cancer. With the support and care of Pine Tree Hospice he passed away amidst his beloved family on October 24, 2007. Nathan was born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926 in Macwahoc, the son of Fay and Pauline (Ames) Jordan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty, and his sister, Jeanette A. Harding. Read More	SANGERVILLE, Nathan Martin Jordan, 81, husband of the late Addie Elizabeth "Betty" Jordan, has come to rest after a bravely fought battle with cancer. With the support and care of Pine Tree Hospice he passed away amidst his beloved family on October 24, 2007. Nathan was born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926 in Macwahoc, the son of Fay and Pauline (Ames) Jordan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty, and his sister, Jeanette A. Harding. He is survived by his daughter Paula Brown and her husband Joel of Abbot; his beloved grandsons, Adam Whitney Brown of Abbot and Jason Martin Brown and his wife Jessica and their son Jordan Riley Brown - Nathan's much cherished great-grandson. Nathan will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Ruth French of Dover-Foxcroft, and his friend of many years, James F. Brown of Abbot. Nathan attended Lee Academy. He served in the Army during World War II as a Sgt. In the 2nd Armored Division, serving as an instructor at bases in South Carolina and Texas. Upon returning from the service, he met and married his wife, Betty. He worked in a local woolen mill, at Faye Scott in Dexter, and finally as a machinist at Numberall in Sangerville where he enjoyed the comradeship of his friends and co-workers "The Numberall Nummies". Nathan was a Mason for more than 50 years. There will be a committal service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Dover-Foxcroft.
