He sold out to Samuel Winkley and on 21 Jun 1764 he purchased from Samuel & Mary Winkley 55 acres in the upper part of Lot 117 in the 3rd Range. This land now borders the former Austin-Cate Academy grounds on the north. MARK was b. in Rye, 15 Feb 1724, died in Barrington (now Strafford) 23 Sep 1811. He married {in Rye} 28 Nov 1745, Amy Thompson, born about 1724 and died in 1798. Children: NATHANIEL, b. Rye, 24 Dec 1747 (Pension record), died 24 Oct 1836 (Journals of Enoch Place), he married Mary Jenness, the dau. of Capt. Nathaniel & Hannah (Dow) Jenness, & they had 6 ch.
