Description	:	Neal Gene Thompson was born December 11, 1956 in Hastings, Nebraska to James T. Thompson and Lorna D. (Pease) Thompson. While still in grade school the family moved to Ralston, Nebraska. There Neal began enjoying sports, none more important to him than his love for baseball. He participated in numerous leagues as well as pickup games. When the family moved to Aurora, CO in 1968 Neal continued to play sports, and played on the Aurora Central High School baseball team. Read More	Neal Gene Thompson was born December 11, 1956 in Hastings, Nebraska to James T. Thompson and Lorna D. (Pease) Thompson. While still in grade school the family moved to Ralston, Nebraska. There Neal began enjoying sports, none more important to him than his love for baseball. He participated in numerous leagues as well as pickup games. When the family moved to Aurora, CO in 1968 Neal continued to play sports, and played on the Aurora Central High School baseball team. Neal also excelled in the classroom, especially Electronics which he loved. He finished High school ranked 3rd in his class of 780 students, receiving just (1) A- after falling asleep in class during a test. He had just finished working his normal graveyard shift at Trailways Bus station. He was awarded the “Presidential” Academic Scholarship at Graduation, which provided him a full scholarship to the College of his choice. He attended the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo for a couple of years, where he developed his love for computers. He worked for several companies before finally establishing his own company designing circuit boards for various companies around North America. He enjoyed participating in numerous sports, including golf, softball, and bowling. It was through bowling he developed his lifetime friendship with Carl and Donna Eberhardt. Neal also began participating in several fantasy baseball leagues and developed many new friends thru these leagues. He also loved playing the Guitar, ever since getting his Electric guitar and amplifier for Christmas in 1969. He continued to play both electric and acoustic guitar thru most of his adult life. He was known as “Uncle Curly” to his nieces Jessica, Lisa, Brittnie and his nephew Nik, because of his naturally curly hair. In his later years various medical issues began to take a toll on his body, and on January 16, 2018 he joined his parents in eternal peace. Neal is survived by brothers Jim and Tod, several aunts and uncles, many cousins and lots of friends
