In 1892 his family moved to a farm about eight miles northeast of Huron, where he lived until young manhood. July 30, 1930 Ned N Andrews was born Oct. 28, 1889, on a farm near Osceola, S.D. In 1892 his family moved to a farm about eight miles northeast of Huron, where he lived until young manhood. In 1913 he was married to Miss Erma Choate of Huron and for five years they lived on the old home farm. In 1920 they moved to a farm near Faith, S.D., where they resided for five years. Since their return to Huron in 1925 Mr. Andrews has been in the employ of the Northwestern Public Service company. He became ill in March and failing to rally he went to Rochester on June 24 for treatment. He died there on July 22. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Erma Andrews and seven children; Evelyn, Merle, Mae, Teddy, Dorreen, Mary Frances and Billy. One daughter, Elinor aged two died in June, 1918. Five brothers and one sister also survive him; William O., of Grants Pass, Ore., Lester, Roy, Myron and Ralph and Mrs Ethel Miller, all of Huron. The parents and one brother and a sister preceded him in death. Mr Andrews was a member of the Moose lodge and also of the Huron fire department. The funeral services were held from the Congregational church with the Rev. A.S. Carlson officiating. The Moose lodge had charge of the services at Riverside cemetery. The record of Ned Andrews's life is one of unselfish devotion and services to those he loved. He has bequeathed to his children a legacy of love for the things that are honest and pure and true. Because of these qualities he was respected and loved by his felow employees and others with whom he came in contact and he will be greatly missed not only by the family and other relatives but by a wide circle of friends and neighbors.
