Description	:	Neeta Craven February 26, 1954 – April 21, 2019 Neeta Louann Craven, 65, of Nevada Iowa, formerly of Boone and Manning Iowa, passed away Sunday April 21, 2019 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa after a long brave battle with cancer. Neeta was born in Boone, Iowa on February 26, 1954, the daughter of Virgil (Buck) & Bernadine Craven. She attended Boone schools, where she later married and was a homemaker to her 3 children. Read More	Neeta Craven February 26, 1954 – April 21, 2019 Neeta Louann Craven, 65, of Nevada Iowa, formerly of Boone and Manning Iowa, passed away Sunday April 21, 2019 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa after a long brave battle with cancer. Neeta was born in Boone, Iowa on February 26, 1954, the daughter of Virgil (Buck) & Bernadine Craven. She attended Boone schools, where she later married and was a homemaker to her 3 children. Neeta volunteered as a photographer for the Boone County Humane Society taking pictures of the animals that were to be placed up for adoption. She also promoted the cats and dogs and talked to the Elementary students on how to care for their pets. She later moved to Manning, Iowa and worked until she was placed on disability and had to stop working in 1990. She moved to Nevada, Iowa in 2006 and had lived there since. Neeta enjoyed caring for animals, especially her cat Chubby. She also enjoyed writing poems and short stories, as well as collecting snow globes. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil (Buck) & Bernandine Craven, sister Norma Jean Klemmer , brother Virgil Dean Craven, sisters-in-law: Cathy Craven, Marilyn Blumberg, and Mary Jane Blumberg, brother-in-law Ted Little, and long-time best friend Ralph Weets. She is survived by her 3 children Melissa Lehmann, Cory Hunt, and Amanda Portwood-Thielen, 5 grandchildren: Trace Lehmann, Sloane Lehmann, Rhett Hunt, Summer Thielen, Autumn Thielen and Jasa Thielen, one brother Gary Blumberg, three sSisters and two brothers-in-law: Diana Baldus, Tammy Little, and Nila & Jim Haleen and Howard Klemmer, and many nieces, nephews, and friends she loved and cherished. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Boone Memorial Garden Cemetery in Boone, Iowa with Chaplain Katherine Werner officiating.
