Description	:	Nell Altman Kederick, 91, the beloved widow of Robert David "Bob" Kederick, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, May 11, 2012, with her son and family by her side in Winter Park, FL. Read More	Nell Altman Kederick, 91, the beloved widow of Robert David "Bob" Kederick, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, May 11, 2012, with her son and family by her side in Winter Park, FL. Mrs. Kederick was born a daughter of Charlie Altman and Mary Elizabeth Matthews Altman on April 21, 1921, in Hannah, SC. Nell was raised in Johnsonville SC along with her 12 siblings. After graduating from Johnsonville High School, she moved to Columbia SC where she worked at the Bank of South Carolina for almost 20 years. She would come home on the weekends to help raise her younger siblings. She met her husband, Bob Kederick, while in Columbia. Nell and her husband lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 5 wonderful and memorable years until Bob's early death in 1961. She moved with her son to Silver Spring, MD where she worked for American Postal Workers Union as an Insurance administrator for almost 30 years. She retired in Johnsonville to be with her family. Nell loved spending time with her friends and family; loved her church and had a strong faith that God was in control; loved to listen to music, to dance, and to wear her large earrings. She passed away with no fear of death and looking forward to reuniting with her husband and family members. She committed her life to acts of selfless giving for her family and her church, and gave an unconditional love to earn her the distinguished title – Beloved Mother. From Nell and Bob's blessed union was born: a son, Robert David "Robby" (Bernice) Kederick, Jr.; and three grandchildren, Katherine (Craig) Morford, Seth Kederick, and Tad Kederick. She also leaves behind: a sister, Lette (Murray) Goodman; and a brother, Nedo Altman; and her extended family including, Irene Altman and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Benson Altman, C.H. Altman, Snow Herbert Altman, Norman Altman, and Wallace Altman; and five sisters, Fleety Todd, Essie Morris, Ella Arnold, Gene Solomon, and Barbara Altman. A Going Home Celebration will be 2:30 PM, Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the West Side Freewill Baptist Church. Interement will follow in the Eaddy Ford Cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Tuesday evening, May 15, 2012, in the sanctuary of the church. Memorial may be made to the Westside Freewill Baptist Church, Johnsonville, SC. McKenzie Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kederick family.
