Description	:	Nell Clingenpeel Everett, age 80, died Monday, September 14, at her home in Chatham, N.J. She was the widow of Grover Woodrow Everett and a former resident of Greenville, N.C. Mrs. Everett, a native of Lynchburg, Virginia, graduated from Longwood College in Farmville, Va., and taught in public schools in Lynchburg. She received her Master's Degree from Scaritt College in Nashville, Tenn., and advanced graduate work at the University of Virginia, University of North Carolina and East Carolina University. Read More	Nell Clingenpeel Everett, age 80, died Monday, September 14, at her home in Chatham, N.J. She was the widow of Grover Woodrow Everett and a former resident of Greenville, N.C. Mrs. Everett, a native of Lynchburg, Virginia, graduated from Longwood College in Farmville, Va., and taught in public schools in Lynchburg. She received her Master's Degree from Scaritt College in Nashville, Tenn., and advanced graduate work at the University of Virginia, University of North Carolina and East Carolina University. As a resident of Greenville, she taught English at J. H. Rose High School, taught at West Greenville and Wahl-Coates Elementary Schools prior to serving as an assistant professor of English at East Carolina University for 17 years. She was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Dr. Grover W. Everett, Jr. of Lawrence, Kansas; a daughter, Sherbourne Everett McGrath of Summit, N.J.; three brothers, Harry M. Clingenpeel, Jr. of Amherst, Va.; Winfred J. Clingenpeel of Gibsonville, N.C.; Wendell H. Clingenpeel of Roanoke, Va.; two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on September 18, at Immanuel Baptist Church followed by interment in Pinewood Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to ECU Retired Faculty Association Endowment Fund, c/o ECU Foundation, Inc., 901 E. Fifth Street or the G. W.
