Carmel hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas, age 27 years, 7 months and 24 days. She spent her girlhood days in Cherokee having attended both the city schools and the Crawford County High School. She united with the church when but a mere child. She leaves to mourn her death her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Imhof; three brothers, E.H. Imhof of Portland, Ore., J.H. Imhof of Spokane, Wash., and J.W. Imhof of Cherokee; also one sister, Lena Imhof of Cherokee. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Given of the United Brethren Church of Pittsburg assisted by Rev. E.L. Torrence of the Methodist church at Cherokee. Interment was made in the Cherokee cemetery. She lived in Cherokee practically all her life and was known to most of our readers as a woman with a great big heart, always ready to assist her friends at any or all times. She lived with her parents and assisted her mother in looking after the home, while her sister worked uptown. She will be missed by everyone. Our sympathy goes out to these people in their bereavement. ****************** The 1920 census lists Nelle with her parents, John and Cynthia Imhof, living in Sheridan township, Crawford County. Her name was spelled Dewall on Ancestry.
