She was born Feb. 19, 1891 in Appanoose County near Unionville to Arthur and Pauline Faber Robb. She married Harvey E. Elder on March 24, 1909. They were the oldest married couple in Iowa (76 yrs) and had lived in the Mount Pleasant and Agency areas for 60 years. He died Dec. 23, 1985. She was a member of the Agency United Methodist Church.
