The daughter of Andrew M. and Clara Guffey Barnhouse, she was born on January 9, 1900, in Putnam County, Missouri. She attended schools at Hartford, Missouri. On December 3, 1915, she married Miler M. Wilson at Hartford. The couple moved to Gilman where they farmed. They moved to Hartford to farm, then returned to Gilman. Mrs. Wilson was active on the family farm and also cooked for some of the Gilman restaurants. She was a member of the Gilman Community Church. Survivors include her children, Vida King, of Conrad, William Wilson of Marshalltown, Melvin Wilson of Davenport, Berneice Mason of Grinnell, and Ida Hendrickson of Newburg; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Lawrence Barnhouse. Added 18 May 2022∼According to the 1910 Census for Putnam County Missouri it appears that Clara Barnhouse was her mother and she had a brother Lawrence K Barnhouse. The 1920 Census for Putnam County Missouri shows she was married to Miler, it also lists Clara as Miler's mother-in-law living with them, a daughter Gilda (probably Vida) about 3, and a son William M less than one year old. The 1940 Census shows the family living in Iowa in Jasper County, Hickory Grove Township.
