She died June 21, 1975 in a Seattle hospital. She grew up in the Roosevelt area where her parents homesteaded. Her first schooling was at Centerville where she stayed with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Eshelman, prominent pioneers of that area. Later she attended school at Roosevelt. Her first schooling was at Centerville where she stayed with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Eshelman, prominent pioneers of that area. Later she attended school at Roosevelt. She was married to Fay Hamilton of Dot. To this union five daughters were born: Mrs. Margery Rayback, Afton, Wyo.; Mrs. Faye Myers, Bellingham; Mrs. Jean Fuzzell, Grangeville, Ida.; and Mrs. Patricia Carter, Seattle. One daughter died in infancy and was buried at Cleveland. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Delmar (Ula) Allbritton and Mrs. Myrtle Goodnight, Bickleton; and five brothers, Ernest Kelly, Goldendale; and Clarence, Arthur, Walter and Leslie Kelly, Roosevelt; 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Kelly in 1955. Mrs. Hamilton was a devoted mother and grandmother and her first love was all of her family. She worked for many years and was a member of Building Service Employees Local No. 6. Services were held June 24 at Washington Memorial Funeral Home. Burial was at Washington Memorial Park in Seattle. (This is not my direct family member but a neighbor to my grandfather and would love to transfer her to her family.......As always and once again, many thanks to Jeffrey Elmer of Klickitat County for transcribing this obituary so I could find it easily... and all that he has done to help us with our histories.
