She attended elementary school and high school at Hugo. She was married to Alfred N. Denson Aug. 8, 1936, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Edison at Plainview. She was a member of the Tilden Methodist church. She is survived by her husband; an infant daughter, Betty Lou; one son, Charles; her mother, Mrs. Mary I. LaBorde of Hugo; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles LaBorde of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Leota Miller of Richland, Wash., and Mrs. Elvira Kilburn of Denver; and four brothers, Laurence, Ivan and Orval of Hugo; and Gerald of Fort Worth, Tex. Funeral services were held Aug. 30 at the Methodist church in Tilden, the Rev. C.W. Smith officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Burt Graham, Mrs. Henderson Carter and the Misses Evelyn Speicher and Marlene Garrison, with Mrs. Carl Barr as accompanist. Burial was in the Danish Lutheran cemetery near Brunswick. Pallbearers were C.E. Johnson, William McKnight, Lloyd Hansen, Rudy Christiansen, Arthur Uecker and Charles Liveringhouse. Nellie Thelma (LaBorde) Denson was born 5 May 1917 near Hugo, Lincoln County, CO, and died 27 August 1946 in Tilden, Madison County, NE. Her parents were Charles Jefferson and Mary Ida (Johnson) LaBorde. --- Nellie and Alfred's children: -Charles A. Alfred, was born 2 May 1912 in Antelope County, NE, to Charles R. and Vella (Peterson) Denson, and died 10 August 1982 in Spalding, Greeley Co, NE.
