Rev. Eldon Shoemaker officiated at the services. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Thompson Mortuary of Holyoke was in charge of arrangements. Nelly Marie Wilson, daughter of Phillips "Brooks" Mason and Mary Ellen Smith Mason, was born in Holyoke June 23, 1899. Nelly had lived in Holyoke almost all of her life, being absent from the community only for brief periods of time. November 27, 1919, she married Ward Wilson in Holyoke. Three children were born to the couple: Dorothy, Lauren, and Duane. In later years, Nellie worked as a secretary in town. Some will remember her as a secretary in the Phillips County Phone Company, and in the Phillips County Courthouse. She became incapacitated, due to ill-health, and became a resident of Sheridan Manor in October, 1964. She has been there since that time. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Holyoke; of the Legion Auxillary, and of the Royal Neighbors of America. She is survived by the three children, Dorothy Lucero of Sacramento, California, Lauren Wilson of Morreo, Louisiana, and Duane of Albuquerque, New Mexico, seven grandchildren, and some great-grandchildren.
