Golackson, a long time resident of this community, had suddenly passed away from heart failure Wednesday, March 1st. Mr. Golackson had been feeling as well as usual and had attended the funeral of an old friend and acquaintance, Dr. Joseph George just a few hours before he was stricken in the Rosvall garage and death ensued before any medical help could arrive. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the First Lutheran church with Rev. J. O. Pederson in charge of the service. Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery. Nels K. Golackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Golackson was born February 4, 1872 in Monroe, LaFayette County, Wisconsin. He came to the community of Dows with his parents when a boy. On April 24, 1895 he was united in marriage to Nellie Rierson of Belmond. To this union were four children born to whom three are living to mourn the passing of their father: Lloyd of Dows, Alma (Mrs. Elmer Westlund) of Dows and Clarence of Albert Lea, Minnesota; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
